In this exclusive interview, Justin shares his journey, passions, and what makes working at Markert so special.
How Justin Belotti Defines Himself
When asked to describe himself in three words, Justin chose “Sincere, Resilient, Motivated/Motivational.” These qualities shine through in his interactions with colleagues and clients, as well as in his approach to tackling challenges and achieving goals.
What Justin Loves Most About His Job
Justin’s favorite part of his job is the people. “I absolutely love the Markert people I work with and the individuals we work to service. It really is a family-like atmosphere that embodies the ‘It takes a village’ approach to every project we undertake, regardless of how big or small.”
A Memorable Moment in Justin’s Career
One of Justin’s favorite work-related memories involves meeting Markert’s leadership team. “The first time I met our fearless leader, Philipp Markert, was at O’Hare Airport in Chicago during a brief layover he had. The first time I met our President, Daryl Schermerhorn, we had dinner while he was in Chicago. Both of those first-time interactions were unbelievably honest and wholesome. They care about me as more than just a co-worker; they have a genuine concern for my life and family outside of work. I have tremendous respect for them and look forward to talking to them daily!”
Advice Justin Would Give His Younger Self
Reflecting on his journey, Justin shares the advice he’d give himself on his first day: “The more information, the better.” He emphasizes the importance of gathering as much information as possible to properly service customers and meet their needs.
Justin’s Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, Justin is all about family and staying active. “I enjoy spending time with the people I care about—whether it’s lunches, dinners, events, or doing things outdoors with my friends and family. I was an athlete some time ago, so I still like to be active and compete. I enjoy golfing, pushing myself physically, watching live music, gardening, learning new and random fun facts, watching Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune in the evenings, and spending time with my 6-month-old puppy, GiGi. If I can do any or all of those things with my loved ones, even better!”
A Fun Fact About Justin
Few people know that Justin was a student-athlete in college, playing football. He was even honored as an All-American during his senior year as part of the AFCA All-State Good Works Team.

For Justin, the Markert team is more than just a workplace—it’s a family. “Everybody cares about everybody. This ‘team’ is truly more than a team—it’s a family. Anyone who becomes associated with this wonderful group of people can attest to feeling like part of the family right away.
